Nice bunch of ringnecks Terry !
What kind of bow is that ?
Looks like a MOAB to me. Nice shooting Terry. I didn't know you could click on those until today. Learned something new.

Very impressive.

The entertainment never ceases.
OK...the 1s hunt I went on....the one pictured above...we used some type of colars that were like upside down bottle caps.
Then I went to work, along with my friend Doug, making some for the next hunt....we made some nasty ones let me tell ya....I'll get a pic in a bit.
T
I met a guy that goes by Spudley and he told me some stories about Terry. Said it sure was treat to shoot with him for sure. Guess I'll have to schedule some vacation time next year and win one of the hunts he puts up for the auction.
Yeah...Spudly is a HOOT!!!....he kept us cracked up at Cloverdale 2003....not sure how any of us got any arrows in the target....between him and Dean Torges we were in stitches.

I always thought that would be a blast to hunt pheasant with a bow, however we don't have them here. Maybe head out west some day and try that.
Nice job Taz! Fried pheasant breast is awesome, dipped in scrambled egg, flour, and fry just like turkey breast. It's so good.....It'll make ya slap your grandma! :saywhat:
Terry - What are the rough dimensions on those heads? Are they a four blade?
They are 4 Blade...didn't measure...but they are in the 2.5 wide area.
Thanks Terry!!
Anything that emits the slightest aroma of turkey stops me in my tracks while I sniff.
I think Larry Surtees has come up with the perfect head.....just that they weight too much....gonna work on getting a lighter version....and test them out this fall.....hopefully.
:wavey:
I like that pic as it brings back some great memories of a hunt of a lifetime.
Was one of those birds where you took the upside, overhead, with a half twist around shot and brought the bird down? I can still see that shot in my head -- too bad we didn't have that on video.
Congrats again Terry! That was one terrific hunt, and it looks like we are on again for another one that'll be even bigger and better. I can't wait.
I'm hoping to test out the new "pheasant concept head" when I get back from BQ. I'll post the outcome. Even though this head is a bit on the heavy side, I think it will deliver enough punch even with my lighter draw out to 15 - 18 yards.
Yes Larry....and here was the result....

Shazam! Way to go Terry!
