The top is Ed's personal bow: leopard wood ibeam with bubinga slabs, osage back and a chocolate brown belly :)
The bottom is another gorgeous bird's eye maple ibeam with wenge slabs, zebrawood back and belly. Gorgeous[/b] in person!
I just got a new calfskin hide in as I was starting to run out, and a better designed skivving knife to speed things up.
The bow I want to see Ed make (aside from a bow with his last piece of orange glass) is an osage bellied Kodiak replica after it's aged a bit. Not quite the same color, but that dark honey osage gets is nice and if he used some "dirty osage" it'd have some real character!
Jeremy stop it,I can't stand looking at another of Eds beautiful bows that bottom bow is calling my name. :bigsmyl:
BEAUTIES!!!
WOW! That's really some good stuff! Thanks for sharing them with us Jeremy...
Fellas, I can proudly say that the bottom bow was made for me and it arrived in today's mail. It is gorgeous, too. 60" and 44# at 28".
I have another of Ed's bows that I bought a few months ago on Tradgang and I love them. If you don't know Ed you should get to know him. He's a gentleman and a hell of a craftsman.
Those are are some great looking bows. I really like the woods in those. Landman, I'd have to say your wood choices were perfect.
Gorgeous bows!!!
Ed's bows are top notch they shoot as well as they look!!!
