If you have suggestions for the upcoming string making video, let me know. We leave a week from Tuesday, headed to MI to film it.
Chad
Chad, What type of things are you looking for. Locations, Tradgangers, etc.
Suggestions mainly--anything that wasn't covered in the first one you'd like to see, something you'd like to see more or, different or better angles, etc. Traditional Vision Quest (Denny Sturgis Jr. and Darryl Quidort) will be doing the filming/producing, we just want to get as much pertinent info. in it as possible. We have some ideas, but can always use more.

Find a cooler spot to film the video! d;^)
Chad,
Thanks for making another video. I will certainly buy it!
My big problem come with a string that works but it looks wierd. Twisted ropes, one strand that is mixed, and getting the actually length right. Basically I need a troubleshooting section.
The actual building of the loops seems to be the easy part once I did it a few times. The problem is the backtwist and putting in the final twist after the string is done. I've counted my twist on every string I build and I still have trouble with getting the backtwist just right even when I
go with that number of twist.
Any help with those aspects would certainly be appreciated.
Padding the loops and dealing with serving diameter issues would also be of help to me.
Thanks,
Chris
I know that it depends alot on how each individual twists the string during the build, but I would like info on figuring out the correct bundle length.
A troubleshooting section--I don't think we have that listed--thanks! We do plan to touch on the other things--had those on the list already.
Pat, it's already hovering around the 100 degree mark here--may have hit it already--so we are going to MI to film this one. If it's hot, we have a good place picked out INDOORS! I don't plan to have a heat stroke with this one!

I 2nd more information on the counter (back twist) and padding the loops.
Please include some info on how to end up with the proper length string. That is my biggest problem so far.
We covered padded loops in the first one--do I need to go into more detail there, or?
On the length, I'll sure try. The big thing is measure everything and take notes, because everyone is going to be a little different. My twist will probably be a little different than the next persons. Consistency is the key, and it's easy to do things a little differently and not notice.

Also, could you address uneven tag lengths when moving to the second bundle. I consistently have one tag shorter than the other, and I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong....
I haven't seen the first video so if this has been covered pleasae forgive me.
I just started making padded center serving. I have some lighter kids bows that don't need alot of strands but serving those few strands isn't thick enough to hold some of the more standard knocks. I don't have alot of serving to choose from.
* How tight should be serving be
* how loose is too lose
* tieing off each end
* which direction should I twist the serving in relation to my bundle twists
These are things I have thought of asking but never have.
Thanks for the oportunity to offer suggestions.
Bud
One more day...we leave bright and early Tuesday morning, start filming Wednesday.
Thanks for all the input!
