This is a very public thank you, to Big Jim, Terry, SlowArrow(Mike), and EVERYONE who looked at and bid on my item.
It was tough to not be able to get my bow built, and when my wife suggested i ask Jim about using the spot for St. Judes, it seemed like a lousy second place.
Not any more. I sat very quietly this morning reading the forum, seeing the bids and the outcome, and feeling, well, really happy.
I've never been in a position to bid on some of the amazing high $$ items on the auctions (knives anyone?), but this filled my heart with joy.
Thank you again.

Hi Darren,
As is often the case, it is easy to look past the root cause of events and just see the end result. I thought your auction was a wonderful thought - a way of turning something of no physical value into a nice donation to help the kids. Your post brings to focus the fact that there was more to this auction.
I looked right past the fact that to offer this auction meant that, for whatever reason, you were having to give up something that you were looking forward to to make it happen. So there is a story here of disappointment about losing out on a wonderful new bow, and an even deeper story of the circumstances that forced that to happen. I hope that whatever is driving that "misery" - that you find relief from it!
I also want to thank you for turning that bit of pain into something good for the kids, for allowing me to benefit from it as well, and then being able to step back and take joy in the good that came of it all.
God bless you Darren!
