After a 4-month wait my new bow has arrived--specs are 44#@28, 58"AMO (short laminate riser), amberboo cores, and dyed matched curly maple veneers on the back. Herb was originally hesitant to use a gray dye on the curly veneers--he thought the grain wouldn't "pop", but I think he did just fine--in person the veneers look just like granite. The contrasting brown belly of the bow is, I think, pretty sharp and Herb says it's totally unique among Pronghorns--judge for yourself-- I am a happy camper!

Very nice. Love those limbs.
Very cool looking for sure, stained maple looks awesome. Hows the grip on these 3pc bows?
Great looking bow and those pronghorns shoot great.
I like the brown & gray. I have a brown stained riser & just got an extra set of limbs that are brown glass & it doesn't look as good as yours.
Nice!
Looks great. :clapper: :clapper: :archer2:
Great looking bow. I have to shoot one of those pronghorn's one of thee days.
That is awesome. What a nice bow.
To answer about the grip--I would describe it as a mild locator grip, and on the short riser the grip is a bit shorter as well, like 1/2-3/4". Fortunately, my hands are not too large and it suits me.
Sharp. I like the grey with red in the riser. And the two tone limbs. Well done
Very nice!!
Wow, I love it!
Its hard to beat a Pronghorn.

Susan, did Herb mention what kind of dye he used? I have a bow in the planning stages that I want grey stained/dyed limbs on and my bowyer was looking for a good dye to use.

Beautiful! That's one of only a few takedowns I like.Always wanted to shoot one.
Herb knows how to build 'em.
That is a great looking bow and I'm sure it shoots as good as it looks.
Congrats.
You have great taste, excellent choice,Ilove the way the bow looks.
Thanks for the great feedback-- I don't know if Herb cruises around Tradgang, but I'm sure he would be pleased to hear it as well. He said he's "never make another one like it". I am left to wonder why........PS just got back from some stumpshooting and it shoots great!
Looks nice. They do shoot great.
