Title: Big Jim TC
Post by: daveycrockett on June 01, 2011, 05:52:00 PM
What kinda bow quivers, or not, you guys using on a Thunderchild? Looks like the riser is so short that the hood and gripper would be too close together?

I got one of Big Jim's strap-on quivers for my Buffs, and I believe I've seen folks posting TC pics with them on. Might want to give Big Jim a call, or email and ask him about it. They are excellent quivers.

I just tried my Big Jim quiver on my 56" TC, and it works just fine; quiet and stable.

I am currently working on an attachment that will move the gripper back twords the string. I have had one on my TC for a few weeks. Has been working well, but have sold my personal TC so I will have to get my big brother to test it out on his.
Should have it perfected shortly.

I have been using a Zipper woodie on mine. Its working out very very well.I have used an EFA as well on it.But actually prefer the zipper woodie on this particular bow.

Yaa the hood and grippers are closer together on the short risers.Presents no problems for me though as far as arrow vibration etc.

I use my Big Jim strap on or my Zipper Woody, like Steelhead no problem, work great.
My Zipper looks great as I got lucky and its the exact woods as my TC,very nice looking Combo.

Well Brian, I have two big brothers but only one is in to hunting so we don't claim the other one  :)
I am actually the shortest of the three of us. They are several years older than me (8 and 9) and I think I could actually take them old guys in a fight "Maybe" but would rather have them on my side.

Anyone have any pics with a bow quiver mounted on a TC? I was thinking of buying a bow quiver for my TC also.
