Shooting lefty 44# @ 28in. Arrows are 3555 goldtips, 29.75 in long with 125g points. Shooting from about 15 yards they are sticking in the target consistently at an angle like this / any ideas what causes that?
I'd suspect they are stiff if you are saying the nock is left..
I can't see your picture, but I have a feeling your pretty stiff on that shaft. I shoot 46# and shoot the same size and length of arrow but have to have 225 grains up front. I simply use a 100 grain insert.
The bow might not be tuned or your release might not be perfect. I just started and I had the same problem, there might be guys on here that can give you a better answer. Hope that helped
Sorry, there isn't a picture, I was just using the forward slash / to illustrate the arrow sticking in the target. The point is stuck in where I am aiming, and the nock is to the left.
i think you are too stiff also you can get test packs of feidl tips from most trad archy places but i would start at 200grn point and go from there till it does what you want the heavey points is cheaper than having to take out inserts an such just mho take care and good luck jake
what type of target
Foam target.
Brock, here's a link to O.L. Adcock's Tuning info. You should download it, as it's easier to read that way. It's a great run-down on tuning Trad bows.

You can go thru the whole tuning method or not, but it explains things, and tells you what your nock orientation is telling you.

My thoughts exactly. It's the same method I use and it hasn't let me down yet.

Is it reversed for lefties?
Yes. Stiff spine will be right for lefties, and left will be weak.
Way stiff. Add 50 or 100 gr inserts or heavier point weight. Best to try to tune with bare shaft first. Strip one of them for testing.
Unless you're shooting a cut past center bow a .600 spine carbon would more than likely be the ticket
What's cheaper 1/2 dz. shafts or a 1/2 dz. broadheads?

It's cut 1/8 past center
mine do the same, 33/55 cut to 28 1/4 225 up front! 47lbs? maybee stiff. idk?
I think it's time to do some serious bareshaft tuning. Where is the best place to get some test kits for field tips in the heavier weights?
3Rivers has them. Here's a link.

Brock, try shooting a different target. I have one 3-d target that will alway force my nock to the left! Just one target out of 12!
The 3555 should work with a 200 gr tip. Try Stu Miller's Dynamic Spine Calculator to play around with the variables. You may need to cut the BOP length by .25" or so, depending on the specific type of bow & insert weight.
The DSC is available here:

Then tune from there.
Good luck.
