Hi Bob, How've you been?  Figured you'd be out in the boonies someplace about now.

I make my own strings and have in the past used 8125 and I like it.  I just got a couple 1/8th pound spools of D10 and made a couple strings for a new Big River I recently had John make for me - I haven't served them up yet but will soon.  The one advantage of D10 is supposed to be almost zero creep.

I can keep you posted as my testing continues.

Pete good to hear from you!  I will not to get to the deep bush until late July as my masters class takes all my time now.

I put a 6 strand D-10 on my whip and it put me into another spine range.  That said, it now shoots a 515 grain arrow @ 173 FPS and is 48 pounds at my draw ... is super quiet to boot.  that is almost 11 grains per inch of draw, I love the added performance.  Also, my son's Mohwak has one and it jumped about 7 FPS with the same arrow.  once shot in, no creep ... it is real good stuff and very quiet as well!

I hae been shooting my Deathwish lately, D- shaped longbow.  Man it is fun.

Hope to see you at a shoot or two this summer Pete.

Bob.
