What can be said?
The actions speak for themselves.
Two tradgang members joined forces and gave a gift in my name and thereby giving me the gift of a TGMM Family of the Bow membership.
I am deeply moved by this show of generosity and love.
I am naming them not to embarrass them but to shine a light on them and their character.
Thank you Hayslope (Tony Ambrose) and Steve Clandinin!!!!
I am without shame to say your gift brought me to tears.
I pray I never give reason to bring anything but honor to TGMM.
I also pray that there will come a day that I can pay it forward.
With the love of Christ
God bless, Mudd
Roy L Williams

With all you've given Mudd it's your turn! You've already payed it forward!!! Stay safe my friend
When Roy first came to light with posts on Tradgang there was something differant, humble, eager and probably the most helping person any of us have ever met.A true inspiration, not just to Tradgang but to Mankind.
Tony refreshed me on a statement I had made about Roy and asked for my involvement in this gesture we made.Times are tough for everyone at present, but I always stated my last dollar would be devoted to my My life and passion Traditional Archery.Roy,LOL this isn't my last dollar, but you my friend for who you are as a person deserve this and so much more,I am so proud to have helped you in some way.Good on ya!LOL
Congrads, your posts are always worthy of being read!
Okay - this is the thread that did it for me.
I've been hangin' around Trad Gang for a couple of weeks now and wonderin' if this was a place that I really wanted to invest in ("invest" meaning time, effort, and money). I have been into archery and bow hunting for many, many years, but concentrated on those wheel and string contraptions with sights and scopes and all sorts of unholy stuff. I was looking for a place to help me migrate back into the traditional and instinctive side of archery.
The information available here is wonderful, but there are many places that provide that. What kept me coming back were the open and friendly discussions - more family like than an on-line forum. There weren't many trolls lurking about. There is a very active Prayers/Concerns/Honors forum where folks ask for help with real life issues, and people opening express their faith in many posts.....and other are free not to. But this thread was it - it showed another unprovoked act of kindness - a degree of fellowship that separates Trad Gang from other forums.
Sorry to say folks - I think I want to hang around here. I've always enjoyed the Groucho Marx quote: "I don't care to belong to a club that accepts people like me as members" - but I think I'll try to stay for a while if you all will have me.
Thanks for a great place to stay and learn - God bless you all!
Just another confirming example of what makes this site great as well as it's members. My hats off to the people who donated as well as you mudd.. Hope to get to know you and join in on the information you bring...
  Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy! God Bless! :clapper: :clapper:
Welcome to the :campfire:
I think you'll be more than welcomed here Slowarrow.
I hope you feel right at home and jump in with both feet.
The more you give of yourself, the more you get in return.
I also hope you will start a thread introducing yourself as it'll not be seen by all in the middle of another thread.
Enjoy your journey along with the rest of us.
God bless,Mudd
PS: I was blessed enough to sell a bow today and the money should be in my account in a few days.
As soon as it is, I know another deserving member of TG that much like me lives on a shoe string budget so I have written to him offering to pay half of a TGMM membership in his name.
Just paying it forward if I can.
Slowarrow,Welcome aboard, your attitude alone certifies you as a bonifide family member already.Welcome again.
Congrats Mudd! :clapper:
Congradulations Mudd. Well deserved. If was in a position to do so, this would be my bid for myself for the kids. You deserve it and again congradulations.
Roy is a Dandy feller for sure!!
Every day he makes a difference in the lives of many folks....he is one that will light a candle rather than curse the darkness...
Truly a great friend and brother!
Congratulations Muddster! :clapper:
Dang Mudd I'm shocked! Didn't think you had any friends? Tony & Steve are pure class! Heartfelt gift given to a great guy... the Muddster. Wear it proud Mudd.
Good for you Roy!
These 3 guys are the Spirit of Trad Gang!
So who else is going to step up and take the plunge into TGMM in the auction? This is the one chance each year to join.
Welcome aboard, Mudd. Also to all the others who are stepping up through the St. Jude Auction - but you have to admit that it is certainly special when other folks/friends buy you a membership.
Great, Mudd well deserved, for a good man. I took the plunge as vermonster13 says. Awesome people here.
:clapper: :clapper: Congrats Mudd, Like many others have said, I always enjoy your posts.
You deserve it Mudd! Good call Steve and Tony
To those PMing me asking about what TGMM is, sorry answers only go to those who pony up the $150 for the kids and not until the auction is done. It is a leap of faith kind of thing that you'll understand if you join. :)
Congratulations Mudd! Thank you Steve and Tony! Maxx
Welcome Roy!
Bill
I'm thinking you probably outa wait until after the initiation, til you start tellin folks how great we are! A Big Welcome to Ya Roy!
Welcome Roy!
To be able to join a great group like you guys, and help out the kids is an amazing oppertunity. When I get home im gonna break open the ol piggy bank with my new pack fund, and im hoping there's enough in there to join. The kids need the money exponentially more than I do.
Way to go Mudd, in my conversations with you and reading your posts etc, it is plain to see that you are more than deserving.
Fin
Congrats Mudd
WOW - I guess I've been spending all my TG time over on the auction threads!
Roy - as I've said before, my views about TG are with a different set of eyes than most.....to me, it's more about the people here.......we just happen to have a common interest in traditional bowhunting! All the members that I've met and had the privilege to spend time with (as well as the members that I've only written to in this virtual world), I consider my brothers and sisters. I cherish their friendship more than most will know. You, my friend, know of what I speak!
As I said when I posted about Steve's and my sponsorship: for the life of me, I couldn't think of anyone more deserving. Take the time to re-read the replies to this post. I doubt that there is another soul on TG that would disagree.
I figure that you have "paid it forward" a thousand fold +. And I know you will continue to do so. It is IN your character. It's who you are. Tony Van Dort said it best: "Every day he makes a difference in the lives of many folks....he is one that will light a candle rather than curse the darkness..."
I'll quote this guy called "Mudd": "The more you give of yourself, the more you get in return."
Steve and I did what I believe any other members would have done.....and the kids at St. Judes will benefit. As Cody stated: "The kids need the money exponentially more than I do."
As for TGMM: "You'll do well, Pilgrim"
Now....as for Rob's tattooing gear............
:campfire:
Good on ya brother!! Thanks to the Other Brothers that Stepped up!! :clapper: :clapper: :clapper: :clapper:
Roy - it looks like you "paid it forward" again!
You're a good man Mudd.
Hayslope if you will send me your mailing address I will make you your very own "Robin Hood" hat".
Here is something I just posted on another thread.

Just had a thought!
Ok come on now, don't act too awfully surprised by that statement...lol
If anyone who has been so generous as to make a donation towards someone else's TGMM membership will send me an e-mail with their shipping address, I will take the time over the next month or so and make them their own "Robin Hood" hat and sent it to them.
There is only one down side to this offer..lol If you get one, you must post your picture wearing it so Coaster500 can add it to the list of "Mudd's Merry Men".
God bless,Mudd
PS: Hayslope, you and Steve started something. I have read where several others have picked up on your idea and now others are being sponsored.
How cool is this? Way!! I'm saying..
Best of all besides showing love and care for one another, it sure helps the kids and that truly awesome!
Kudos to you Steve and Tony. Sounds like the type of friends everyone should hope to have. Congrats Mudd.
:clapper:
I have seen the TGMM thread and the TGMM Family of the Bow signiture for the last 5 years and I still have no idea what it means. But it is obviously a group of very well meaning and good hearted folks. I also do not believe that this could have happened to a better guy. For starters he makes the coolest hats on here and he has a Mt.Curr dog to top it off, lol. Congrats Mr.MUDD. Mike
