I mostly shoot carbons from my longbows and recurves but lately have thought about trying some aluminums from my recurves just for comparison. It has been years since I shot aluminum arrows and when I did wasn't to aware of tuning so just shot what I could get my hands on.
My bows are all between 58-64# at my 31" draw and I shoot 32-33" arrows after tuning. My longbows handle a .400 spine fine but my cut past center recurves need stiffer (.300-.340) spines to tune which I assume is due to the long draw and long arrow. What are you long draw guys shooting at this weight just for curiosity? Thanks...Shawn

I've been tuning today. New to me PCHX Widow. Geting about 60lbs. at my 30.5" draw The only alum. I can get to bareshaft is a 31" 2219 with 125gr on front. Been pulling my hair out worrying about it(stupid me). Just seems like to much arrow for this bow. but it shoots??? Go figure. Fletched up they fly great with FP's and BH's.

I might try 2315. :archer2:

Since you have both bows shooting a good deal of poundage, if you want to shoot a lighter arrow with lots of speed, a 2413 and adjust the brace height on both bows.
My second choice would also be a 2315.

Thanks for the input, I had been leaning toward 2315 but I will look at those others as well and will surely find one of them I like.
