As Maggie is growing so fast I thought it might be time for a new bow for her to shoot at the trad shoots we go to.I made a longbow(semi recurve) a while ago that turned out a bit light for what I wanted it for at 40 pound and even at that weight I had to leave the limbs to wide for my liking which effecting the shooting qualities of the bow.I put it away as a bit of a dud.
Anyway I though to myself that it may just come ok with a bit of a weight reduction as it would make it the right weight for Maggie AND slim the limbs down to the ration of width to thickness I prefer.
Well the results have been outstanding Maggie shot it today through the chrony and it is a ripper now.
35 pounds at 26 inches shooting 10 grains per pound and almost 165 FPS..
Cheers KIM

Nice mate !
Very nice, Ben. Always neat to pull off something a bit unusual, like saving one you weren't pleased with at first.
Nice job, I hope the young lady shoots it well.
Chuck
Glad to see that you didn't get rid of it before. Even better to see a child smile with a bow in hand! Thanks for sharing and great bow.
