I got some of those broadheads in a trade today,I've always been curious about them knowing they were of the old boykin stlye. just lookin at them makes me think of the early days of our choosen sport, its very nostalgic to have a symbol of the golden age of archery in ones hand. I dont know just got the whels turni and I thought I'd share. Any of ya'll get that exp. frm a peice of gea or what not?
I shot many animals with the MA3 heads. I still have a few laying around somewhere. It does remind me of a really young age when my father was making arrows or sharpenning heads for a hunt.
MA3
Bodkin
Ace
Hi-precision
Herters Ram mix
Pearson Deadheads
Bear Razorheads
And so much more.
All bring back the old days for me!!
I think I have a couple in a box as well. I think I still have a bunch of the old Bears as well. Classics.
I never shot an animal with a MA-3 but back in the day of broadhead tournaments they were great. Tough as nails and never came apart on impact.

I shot my 1st deer with a MA-3 back in 1973, also took elk and bear with that head.
Pretty good head, I used them in the 70s for deer. now I use them and Bodkins for groundhogs as they are pretty plentiful and usually found at yard sales for about 50 cents apiece or less. They will take a nice file edge pretty quick.
