I planned to go back and set-up a trail cam, but I made a bunch of excusses and it was raining pretty hard, so I decided to wait until this a.m. to go back and try and catch him on the kill and/or set-up my camera. Well he ate the whole dang deer last night and was nowhere to be found. You can bet I won't hesistate next time, DANG IT!!!

wow, too cool. Did you take your heater incase the cat decided to have some dessert?
No. If he wanted dessert he would have had a fair chance at I guess. I had my bow, that is all I really every carry in the woods.
That is cool but could have been cooler with kitty pics.
Mark I KNOW...... :banghead:
Here kitty, kitty, kitty. That was an incredible find.
Very cool. And great pics. Us southern guys don't get to see that kind of thing too often.
Yes that is very cool.TxAg is right, doin't see much of that around here.Darn hogs would have cleaned that right up.Thank's for sharing!!
THX for sharing. Really cool
Just curious, What part of CO?
Either way very cool.... sneaky creatures there...
Near Glenwood Springs. West central part of the state.
That is cool.I have always wanted to get a trail camera on one of those.that is a lot of meat gone in a day.I wonder if it may have been a female with kittens? As an after thought,it may have been worth putting the camera up anyway.I have seen where cats returned to kills even after being cleaned up like that.
The cat was probably watching you the whole time. Were the hairs on the back of your neck standing up? Good thing it was well fed.
That is a really cool find.
Just the find was absolutely an exhilarating for me from afar.
Thanks much for sharing.
I saw the pic in the other post and was hoping to see some lion pics. Cool pics either way though. Thanks for sharing them.
Cool stuff .
Elksong, great pics. Now, on your daily walks you be careful ... that deer is likely lion poop now, and that lion's looking around for something else to drag dirt and brush over. Thanks for posting.
Thanks guy's. I wasn't ever really worried about the lion comin' after me. As was stated above, the cat had plenty of food and that is the only reason I have ever heard of a lion attacking a person -to eat them.
This was the first time I have ever seen ANY sign of a lion in this area, but figured they were around. I have another place I like to walk/shoot and there is at least two lions that hunt there. I have cut their tracks paralelling a main walking/hiking trail several times. I have circled back and found tracks on top of mine, kinda spooky. This is a fairly remote area and I know several ladies that walk here, they have always had their dogs with them, and I have told them that they shouldn't walk there without the dogs and maybe some pepper spray or a gun.
That is a crazy find and cool story... Thanks for sharing and stay safe...
