I ordered my Mohawk a few months before Vince stopped taking orders. I felt real lucky to "get in" so I could have my bow for this season.
Any how, after placing my order, and quite a few phone calls my bow arrived last week. In my process of figuring out what length Mohawk I wanted, I tried several different lengths, all having slightly different handle shapes as well.
-Decided on a 62", which is fine at my 28" draw, and very handy in the woods.
-Riser is some really nice Macassar Ebony, that has been in the Mohawk shop acclimating for a long time.
-Decided to use Cocobola in the flare, Vince sent me pics of several different flares and this one looked best.
- Limbs and Core are Yew. Some real nice Yew too.
One thing I was really impressed with in ordering this bow, Vince worked with me alot on grip shape, he called me twice to discuss just the grip. There were also a couple little things I wanted specifically that were done just as I asked.
The bow shoots great, points very naturally, very quiet, NO shock, vibration, twang, hum, or anything funky like that ;)
As far as I know Vince is still catching up on orders and such, but I believe he will be taking orders again soon... and obviously his batterys are recharged.

Nice photos of that beautiful bow!
My Mohawk should be delivered early next week. You are right about Vince, talked with him many times , he's a good guy. So are Craig and Jason Ekin and the Widow boys. It's nice to deal with good people.
Sweet Tea.....♠

Eric
most beautious!
thanks all, and I have to say that little extra attention that Vince put into the grip after our conversations really is perfect for me. The bow really fits my hand perfectly, part of the reason I shoot it so well, and I need all the help I can get!
Beautiful bow! Nice yew laminations too. My yew Mohawk has more knots (charactor I'm told)than a boy scout jamboree! It is a real sweet shooter though with the light weight all yew limbs. I'm even startng to like all those knots; maybe I should name them ;-)
Classy looking bow, I'll be interested in how you like the yew. I'd like to give it a try some day.
 You did good!
Yeah, "Ole Vinnie" is alright in my BOOK !! Beautiful L/B ....
That is a very pretty riser combo..
And we all know Mohawks shoot with the best of 'em.
Do you guys shoot fastflight or something else? FF seems loud. Got mine in today, beautiful and shoots great.
I shoot FF, as it comes with, and its very quiet, so im not quite sure whats going on with yours. Matter of fact the Mohawk is among the 2 or 3 quietest bows ive ever shot.
I'm used to Dacron an H Hills. Haven't shot FF since the 90's.
Have not had time to mess with it. My brace is about 6.75 .
What silencers are good? Use fur on my Hills.
CocoBolo, Bacote flair and dirty boo , it's gorgeous
Oh yeah arrows were GT3555 at 9.5 and 10.5 gpp.
Bow is 64" 55@28"
for silencers i just use some of my wifes wool yarn, works as good as anything ive tried and its free.
I also run my brace about 6.75 or just over, works great.
Got it. Had some spider silencers and had built the serving up a little for woodies. It was actually noise from the nock fitting too tight.
Quiet as a church mouse now.
One of the best looking Mohawks I've seen, and I've seen a lot of them.
try a low strand count hmpe string for yer mohawk. the lesser strands make for a more stable and quiet 'hawk for me. currently using 8 strands of dyneema with padded loops (endless, of course). i also think that less hmpe strands make for a somewhat safer string in that it's a tad more "forgiving" than 50% more added strands. an 8 strand hmpe string (pick out most any string fiber brand and model ya like) will still yield at least 800# tensile strength, which will far and exceed the needs for even a 65# stick bow.
for silencers, i keep them on the small side and adjust their location for best effectiveness. is use 1/2 a hush puppy (new zealand wool) on each end area of the bowstring and after it shoots in i give it a good hair cut. :D
