I know this has been asked before but there are alot of new people here. So,how many broadheads you carry?
I go with 3 ,have never in 30 years of archery gotten second shot. But thats my luck.
i carry 4 and 2 judos in a 5 arrow quiver
Hi George
Three broadheads and one Judo tip.
I like your new Kanati!
Thanks Chuck. He reshaped my old one and I can't tell the differance between the two.
Three BH's when hunting deer and/or turkeys.
Years ago rattled in my 1st buck, which was leaving my area. I fell apart, dropped the 1st arrow, missed point blank with the 2nd and spined him with the 3rd. Nothing to brag about but sometimes confessions make the next opportunity turn out a little smoother. I have harvested three deer and two turkeys that permitted a 2nd shot opportunity.
Three broadheads, one field point for roving.
Three broadheads plus one SGT head.
4 broadheads and two judos
4 BHs + 1 Talon or 1 Judo = full quiver
Shoot straight, Shinken
:archer2:
Depends on which quiver I am using. With a bow mount quiver I carry four broadheads and one judo. With my back quiver I carry five broadheads and two judos.
I will have 6 broadheads and 2 judo points and on a couple of occasions I have had to sit down and resharpen all of the broadheads after getting sidetracked by grouse, squirells, or rabbits while hunting. One time when I was hunting elk a Pine Marten got curious and by the time he was done demonstrating that he could dodge my arrows quite easily along with some just plain bad shooting on my part I had to call it quits for the day because I didn't have any arrows left in my quiver!
3 BHs and 1 Judo.
4 bh
4 broadheads and one SGH
4 and a Judo
With my recurve ,it's 3broadheads and one tipped with a hex head! On my longbow it's 4 BHs and one hex head! Now if i'm going on a week long hunt I'll also carry my safari tuff with 8 BHs and 4 judos!
I usually start out the season with 4 broadheads and then later go down to 3. I missed a doe 4 times once...all under 20yds., and have shot twice a lot of times (twice last season). Think I will carry a dull broadhead this yr and start taking a practice shot each hunt. It fairly rocky where I hunt, but every now and then can find a soft spot to shoot at.
5 broadheads and 2 hammerheads in a Safari Tuff quiver. I would rather have to many arrows than not enough.
4 broadheads and 1 judo
3 broadheads
efa bow quiver = 4 bh's + 1 judo (+ 2 screw-in bh's if the arras are carbons)
duiker stalker = 6 bh's + 2 judo's :)
3 Broad Heads and 1 Judo in my quiver. But I always carry spares of each in my pack, as well as a file. Judos sometimes bend or break. Broad Heads I have never needed. But it is always a long way home for more.
3 broadheads, but I hunt close to home. I have a small hip quiver, works great.
Four BH's, two judo's, and 2 field pts., to play.
4 and one blunt
I will take 3-5 BH and I will take a field point sometimes to shoot from the stand for a test shot at spot on the ground. Just want to see where I'm at on that day.
4 BH
Depends on whether I take the family car or my pickup truck.
;)
3 Ace 200 gr Super Express and an Ace Hex blunt of the same weight; carries lightly in a Catts Sidekick III

Either three or four BH's depending on the quiver. I have never shot a second arrow on any one animal.. (deer, etc)
Usually three broadheads and a field or blunt tip in a bow quiver. Thinking of trying a Safari Tuff quiver so I can carry more.
I carry 4 BH and 1 judo.
3 broadheads, and some sort of a blunt/judo
I typically have 4 arrows in my bow quiver which I take off the bow and hang in my gree or lean against the wall of my blind. I have 3 broad-head-tipped arrows and 1 field tip or judo. Sometimes, especially if I'm hunting away from my home place, I'll carry a few spare, ready-to-hunt broadheads in secure, protective cases. This way, if I miss I can retrieve the arrow and replace the broadhead with a sharp one.
I have needed a follow-up arrow on a couple of deer and a black bear.
Four broadheads and one judo.
usually 4, but sometimes 3
EFA quiver with 4 broadheads......Randy
I usually have 4-5 and a couple practice arrows. I have killed several deer on the second shot.
3- Bh's
-One for the first shot
-Two in case I miss the first one
-Three to shoot myself if I miss twice and he gives me a third shot. He deserves to live at this point!
I also carry a judo and field point for a total of 5.
3 broadheads for death by bleeding, 2 blunts for death by blunt trauma, and 1 field point for quick judging.
4-6
I keep "3" Broadheads and "1" Ace hex head for fun, when hunting.
3 BHs and 1 blunt
Liberal deer limit in CT, so I carry a full quiver. 4 sharpies and two field points for practice shots. My first trad deer I shot twice within seconds. Last year killed a doe and missed an 8pt, five minutes later.
I use a 6 arrow Selway slide on quiver full of broadhead tipped arrows. I also carry one arrow with a field point attached with piggie backers, and then alot of times loose the field tipped arrow once on stand just to make sure everything is working properly.
I usually carry 3 to 4 bh depending on the amount of arrows I own at the time. I will also admit to shooting them all and not hurting anything but my pride! Take as many as you can carry plus 2 more.
I take 6 bh. I would rather be looking at them than for them. :archer2:
Depending what I'm hunting but due tp the pure number og pigs, goats and rabbits I may run across I normally have 6 broadheads , plus, being the stumpaholic that I am , a heap of blunts .
Deer Hunting ... only 4 broadheads ...
I usually carry four broadheads, but this year I'm going to add a judo point for practicing my way back to my cabin.
Bernie Bjorklund
NC Iowa/SW Wisconsin
4 broadheads & 1 or 2 judos or hex heads for me.
3-4 Broadheads, light EF quiver & I normally never get that second shot.
I carry 5 BH and 1 judo.
Usually 3 broadheads and a couple of Hammer Heads.
When i go out of state i bring one doz of arrows all tiped with BHs. My quiver always holds six and one blunt. :archer2:
4 bh and a judo minimum. 3 bh and a judo has`left me a bit anxious more than once!
GGA Quiver loaded with 7 broadheads. My buddy asks me all the time why 7.My awnser is becouse I can't find a 12 arrow quiver.I fling broadheads at everything.
3 Broadheads, 1 Judo, 1 Hex
3 BH and one judo.
I habitually use a Great Northern quiver with 4 BHs and one judo point. As insurance, I carry an extra BH in my day pack.
DB
Thanks everybody for answering.I have a three and four arrow Eagles Flight quiver. With my new lighter bow the 4 arrow seems to make the bow feel top heavy. The 3 arrow feels great. What I was going to do was carry a extra broadhead in my pack and a extra arrow with piggy back clips to give me 4 broadheads.Anybody else do this?
Why not get a cheap Quickee quiver with a couple of extra arrows in it. Keep the extra quiver in your pack
Three good broadheads and one junk broadhead or field point.
4-5 broadheads and 1-2 small game blunts usually Hammers.
BOB
5 broadheads, and 2 small game/stumping arrows
Three broadheads, 1 Judo, and one rubber blunt for squirrels, but keep a spare loose (but heavily protected broadhead) in my pack just in case I run out of broadeaded arrows and have to convert one of the others...8^) Hey, I've run out of broadheads before...8^)
3-4 BH and 1-2 small game heads
6, that's how many were in the package. I do carry a couple of field points and/or judo points sometimes.
Depends on what im after. Deer six just incase a coyote shows up. Calling coyotes and jacks 13. Out chasing ground sqirrels six-seven judoes or blunts and six broadheads in case a coyote shows up. Would rather have one than not have one.
3 broadheads and one smallgame/stumping for me. If I were out longer, I would carry another quiver on my fanny pack or belt.
Depends if I'm hiking or sitting. Hiking, 3 BH and two judos. Sitting 4 BH and 1 judo.
I usually carry 3 broadheads and 1 blunt.
Five/Back Quiver.
When deer hunting: five broadheads, two ace Hex Heads. I keep one BH in a single bow quiver and the rest in my Side Stalker quiver.
4 broadheads, 1 judo
I carry four broadheads and 1 judo or small game point when I am hunting, although I have rarely gotten a second chance when shooting at any animal
I carry 3 broadheads and a good sharp knife.
