I would like to start taking my son bowfishing but he can't pull a lot of weight (10 years old) he is pulling about 25 to 30 pounds now. Is that enough?
Also What type of knot is best for attaching the arrow?
It will be new for both of us so any tips you can give would be great!

As a kid of about 10 I was shooting carp with a 28 # Coe longbow. I sure was not pulling 28 #. I remember getting my picture in the local Willmar MN paper with a carp that I was holding up and its tail was still on the ground. My older brother tells the story of having to herd the fish into shore because it was pulling me. I have not bow fished in many years so can't help you out with equipment.

That should be plenty of weight for bowfishing.
Make sure you get an arrow with a safety slide on it. We don't need any accidents to happen.
Go out and enjoy it.
Now that sounds like a good time have fun with your son he will remember it later shoot straight.
Take a camera to help remember the big smiles! Take a couple of extra arrows in case of a string break too. Good Luck.
