Well I didn't draw an Elk tag here in AZ this year so I am setting my sites on Archery Deer and Turkey this Fall. The wife and I went up to the Mogollon rim over Mothers day weekend for a combination camping / scouting trip. I thought I'd share a video clip I put together of our outing. Hope you enjoy...... Interesting blind. My folks settled that country . They were there in the sheep and cattle war. Young Arizona. I still have a bunch of folks living there. It is really neat country and the first place I ever saw wild turkeys.
God bless you, Steve
Terry,
I got an infomercial on folding a popup blind.
Mike
LOL...... Wrong link...I've got it fixed now.... Terry
Terry;
Is that by Sedona, sure looks familiar. I was in Arizona last October and took a tour of the Mogollon Rim. loved Arizona...hated the taxes! Good luck this Fall.
Good stuff buddy. Theo and I were just talking about you today... and Mike "Wingnut".
Sergio..... That area is not too far from Sedona at all..
Thanks Charlie tell Theo Hi for me...... Things must be pretty slow in your neck of the woods if you're sitting around talking about Mike and I.. :D Terry
Nice video. We spend some of our winters in Queen Valley; Arizona is a beautiful state.
I like your clip, really like your shooting video too. And I thought my targets were shot out! Getting green up here. There is a fun shoot up here next week-end. Wilard Springs if you want another camping week-end.
Cool video. I used to live in Flagstaff and miss it greatly. It's funny how while watching your video I could smell the Ponderosa pine as the sun was warming them in the cool of the morning. Thanks for sharing.
Nice video,thanks some beautiful country.
just purchased a place in phoenix, can't wait to go hunting. The scenery is breathtaking.
Centaur.... I know the queens Valley area pretty well. I used to hunt deer behind there quite a bit years ago
High Country... The Bear... Javie and Coyote targets have all been repatched and are on their second life in that video
Jeanpaul.... You will like AZ.. Lots to do and no two parts of the state are alike.....
Can anyone tell me what kind of bird that one with the yellow body and red head is? I got one on film up there last year as well......Terry
I was there once I never saw so many elk before nor since, great country. I hunted the late bull season and that's all I saw did not come home with one but had a good trip none the less
That was great video, of a beautiful area ! Thanks for posting. :clapper:
great video. i lived in san manuel in the early 90s. i used to go to point of pines quite a bit. i had my first experience with black bears while camping there for the first time. you made me remember just how beautiful it really is. thankyou. don
Beautiful Country! I can almost feel the spirits of Cochise and Geronimo from watching that...
The bird is a Western Tanager.
very nice video ... I go there every winter to hunt golf balls and have been trying to get the bride interested in getting a place down there ... obviously I am missing some good parts of the state !
Thanks for sharing ....
Glad you guys are enjoying the video....
Stone Sheep thanks for the Bird ID! When I saw the first one I thought it was someones escaped pet...... Terry
You dropped something off your ATV. Hope it wasn't important. :coffee:
Terry,
Thanks, enjoyed the trip.
Hope to be living east of Payson below the rim before too much longer.
Enjoy the hunt,
Jeremy.... I wondered when someone would comment on that... the camera was recovered safe and sound... :D
Chad... Welcome to AZ.... give me a shout when you get down here..... Terry
I get to travel a lot of AZ for business. Spend more time there in the winter than summer. A beautiful state. I just feel bad for all of the hunters with your draw system there.
Very cool video  God I love living out west :goldtooth:
Terry ,the desert piggy got a little nippy today!

:help:
Ooooh, glad it didn't do that here today!
Terry, you just reminded my soul of what it was missing... Discovery!
Seems like forever since I had seen something new and God-struck, and suddenly, there was that tanager. Spent a little time looking it up. Cried a few tears as I do every time I see a brand new gift of the Giver, fraught with beauty which bespeaks love, as beauty is of no practical use.
The weight which I am burdened with at this time slipped away for a moment, and I can carry it a little more easily now.
Thank you.
Killdeer
Highcountry..... Glad it waited until after our camping trip... :)
Wow Killdeer your mastery of words hasn't lessened over the years. You just made my day. Thank You!!
