Title: Another Way to Photograph Your Turkey Hunt
Post by: Gary Logsdon on May 12, 2011, 05:58:00 PM
Here's an image from my "turkey archives" that I thought I'd share.  The bow was made for me by my old friend Byron Ferguson (back when he did that kind of thing) and the head is an older Howard Hill (brass pin).  KY Eastern wild turkey.

Here is one of my favorites I did after I finished my first grand slam with my homemade equipment. I call the pic Homemade Traditional Slam . I made the bow ,calls, and etc. I wish I had taken a higher resolution to get framed.

A collection of memorabilia that would make a nice wall piece.  Hey, that looks like my old buddy Jerry's big screw-on Tree Shark!!  I was bear hunting with Jerry Simmons one spring when an Alabama friend of his shot a bear from a steep angle.  The arrow entered behind/above the bear's shoulder blade and exited under it's armpit, totally outside of the body cavity.  The bear was recovered after following a profuse blood trail, maybe, 150 yards. You should have seen the hole left by that Tree Shark.
