Hi all,
i am currently looking for a carbon shaft with a 0,250" spine deflection.
The only two i could find are the Gold Tip Big Game and the Easton FMJ Dangerous Game, sadly both quite expensive.
Are there any i have missed?
Have you experiences with one of these two? Any input welcome!
Thanks, Axel

Thats probably right in my experience. I started using the GT BG before they were even on the market. I hoped to find a single shaft that I could weight up enough to use on water buffalo and failed, the most I could get the GT BG weighted to with a 79# recurve was about 700 grains. I have used those arrows quite a bit on other game though, including muskox and a number of African animals and they did great.

I too have used GT Big Game shafts and they have served me very well. Another shaft (also expensive) that's very stiffly spined is the ACC 3-71. As I recall it spines out at around .280" on my spine tester.
There are many more shafts that spine around .300" so if you can use a slightly shorter shaft or a bit less point weight up front then you should be able to use them.
