Was wondering,How many of you shoot 600grn.plus arrows with a 50lb and lower bows???
600-700 grn arrows from My bows that are 50#@28"... I like Heavy arrows.
Is that your draw lenth?
I have a 48#@28" Mojostik that I draw to 29",so probably 50# at my draw.I have one set of arrows that are 655 grs and one set that are 700 grs.
I often shoot 600+ gn arrows from my 50# bows . My draw length is 26 3/4"
Last year I shot a 32", 602 grain 2117 aluminum arrow out of my 66", 42# @ 30" recurve. It really packed a wallop from 20 yards and under.
But, this year I'm switching gears and going with a much lighter arrow out of both of my recurves. It's for experimentation purposes.
I shoot a 650 grain high FOC arrow out of my 48-55lbs bows at a 32 inch draw link, has always worked well but I don't shoot over 20 yards at deer.
Close enough I suppose.
51 @ 28
Victory HV 350... 6.7 gpi...29.5" arrow...400 up front ... 615 gn-total... ~32.0% FOC
This set-up disintergrated an 18 in 1 Rhinerhart target in less than a month. These targets are guarenteed for a full year.
my arrows are almost 600gr and the bow i shoot them from is about 43# at my dl. the bow throws then great and they hit the target with some force. i wont take a shot farther then 20 yds a deer and at 20 yards i dont really have to do any hold over with this set up
840 gr out of a whisperstik mojo 42@28 pulled to 31 so close to 50 lbs

I'm shooting a 536 grain (total) at 50#s. I fell I get plenty enough thump and I can be off on yardage a little more.
