Here are a couple of Leon's new 56 slammers I had a chance to see last weekend, I just wanted to share the pics which really do not do them justice. One had brown glass on the face the other a real dark old school green glass. Each had burl elm on the belly and walnut dymondwood on the riser. Sorry the green one came home with me. If you are going to Baltimore check these out. It was as cloudy day, so the colors don't show up as well. Goncalvo Alves riser and unstained curly maple limbs.
Nice Tom!!
Do I get to play with it at Sawmill??? :bigsmyl:
See you next month.
Leon made me a 62" Slammer Special, 45 pound, 1-piece. Received it in February and did a lot of stump shooting with it since then. This bow is a shooter!! No hand shock, very quiet, and fun to shoot.
Vinny for sure I will be there and looking forward to a little celebration and shooting.TM
They look pretty short. Are they 56 inches?
Bowmania
Todd yes they Leon's new 56 inch slammer for 2011.
Tommy,
I was wondering when Leon was going to get into the "green". Very nice.
Good Shooting,
Craig
I shot one right handed once. (: Great little bow. You should really check them out.

I never felt I would like a bow as much as I like my Leon Stewart Slammer Special. He is a true craftsman and I am hunting turkey with it and no blind, may never get one but I love having it in my hand while in the woods.
Leon finally made a Slammer in MY size!
I tried one at Baltimore, as I knew that I would, dangit.
It has a Goncalo Alves riser, bamboo lams and brown glass front and back. And it is slumbering in its own special place on my wall as I type this. It had a very busy weekend.
Killdeer :archer:
Now we'll have to get together to shoot them, Kathy.
