I have an old 3 piece Bob Lee longbow,, it has the signature limbs and I bought this bow used maybe 15yrs ago so I'm wondering if I can use a FF string or not,,, what do you think???
I'd ask Rob Lee on monday but for now someone here might know for sure,, thanks and happy Moms day.
My brother has a T.D. L/B that's about 10 to 12 year old, B-50 is recommended. I have one that's 8 years old, B-50 is recommended, Rob Lee told me that. Hope this helps!
Ask Rob, Mine went from not recommended when I bought it to it's OK.

What he said. If your bow has micarta tips FF is ok to use.
it does have the micarta,,, thank you all for the posts.
it's not only about beefed up limb tips, it's also about the glass and epoxies used during lamination. summa the older bows are best left to using dacron, which in itself is not a bad thing at all.
Rob told me when I bought my first Lee that all his bows were able to use fast flight but he did not recommend it for the longevity of the bow. This does not include the Redwing line of bows.
I bought my first Lee bow from Bob back oh, about 1992. Bob does not like the FF material so he would not recommend nor approve of using it. That said, I've used FF on that bow since new in 1992 and bought two more Lees since then. FF on all and nary an issue.
