Title: Warm weather turky hunting
Post by: anchorman on May 08, 2011, 07:36:00 PM
What are some of the tricks to taking turkeys when the weather gets warm? Do you just hunt in the morning? How do you hunt them in the late morning or afternoon?

Been wondering the same thing after a pretty hot mid-morning hunt today.

They don't talk much so you got to know where there going. I killed a turkey this year at 3:00 in a field feeding with 3 other gobblers and it was 85deg  and they went talking.. But I knew where they were  going. Same thing in the evenings. If you find a spot where you know they like to strut in the evenings before they fly up then get there before they do and sit tight.
