Title: Need advice on GT Velocity shaft out of 44# Centaur
Post by: South MS Bowhunter on May 07, 2011, 07:51:00 PM
Has anybody tried the new GT Velocity shafts?  I'm looking at ordering some to use with a Centaur Double Carbon for 3D and form practice (maybe hunting).  The bow spec's are 62" 44#@30", the reason for going with this shaft is to get the weight down to around 9 gpp for use in 3D.  The weight of the finished arrows will be right at 370 gip and put me close to the 9 gpp. Give me your thoughts thanks.

The first thing to do is explain to the wife why you bought arras on mothers day!Hey I owed you the first punch pal.The 500 ICS Bowhunters @ 7.3 gpi full length with alum. insert and 125 gr pt. does great from my curve at just several more pounds. Also cut to 29.5" and up to 175 Gr.up front did fine.I'm convinced with the Velocity's spine you have a workable shaft.
