Hey gang, i just ordered some GT blems from big jim 3555. I will set these up with my dweyer which is 51@27 what length should i cut or leave them at? i would like to have a arrow apprx 550-650 grains. I know there will be alot of playing around with them but does anyone have any good recommendations?
I'd leave them full length to start, and shorten 1/2" at a time until you get good bareshaft flight.
Hate to say it but if you want an arrow that heavy you maybe should have gotten the 5575s.
i have a dozen of the 5575, i just ordered these to play around with to see if i can get them to fly good. other wise i can use them as a convienet excuse to get a new bow :bigsmyl:
I think Bud is right.
You will be close at 550, but will likely need as short a shaft as possible. Depends on the bow.
Bigjim
Thanks for the help, and thanks for the arrows bigjim! Definitely going to futz around with these and see what works best. In the worst case scenario my dad gets a new dozen
