Ordered my first back quiver (and matching armguard) from Mike last week. 4" back quiver and hunter armguard.
I'm really excited...#10 on his build list. This is my first back quiver, period, not just from MAL.
Anyone have any of Mike's leather? Stories and pics to hold me over?
Thanks guys and gals
I have one of Mikes Arm Guards, and it is some kinda nice!
You will not be dissapointed.
I don't often use an arm guard, but when I wear one it is one of Mike's. The quality is tops.
Here is my arm guard and pocket quiver. Love them. He added the beavertail accent I sent him.

My family all use his armguards,i have friends who use his quivers.I know Mike,he is a good guy.
I used my MAL Latigo Hunter arm guard tonight after work, like most days when I shoot during cooler or cold weather. Mine looks just like the one pictured on his web site with the addition of some wrinkles and scratches. I was wearing a long sleeve shirt and like how the longer guard keeps the sleeve out of the way.
Although not a close up, I am wearing it in my avatar photo.
His gear is alive and well here in Outback Australia! It hunts real good.
Mike donated these for a St. Jude raffle at the Joan Leonard Memorial Bunny Hunt one year.

Mike's armguards have always been sported on my arm ever since I started using one. I have about 6 or 8 at the last count, as I never miss a chance to go for one. Most of them are still like new while I use the other two or so - LOL. I also have 2 models (original and updated version) of his 3D belt quivers, Plus he put a new strap on my Barb back quiver, for me, that is the main one I wear to 3D shoots. A friend, great leathersmith, and great person to deal with. I even used to be one of his "models" on his web site (haven't checked to see if I'm still hanging in there I ought to, as it might make me look younger - LOL)
I dont own one, but I've seen his quivers. You'll be very happy!
I'm glad he didn't have a waiting list way back when I bought mine. I have some pictures somewhere I will see if I can find them.....stabow
Found them.

Mike does great leather work.
I really like his arm guards better than any I've tried.
Best arm guard I've ever used.
I have 2 of his arm guards.I love 'em. Excellent quality and easy-on,easy-off.
MAL is top notch all the way!
I have two arm guards and a couple of Mikes quivers, his stuff is top of the line. And Mike is a wonderful guy.
Mike's work is great. You won't be disappointed!
Where can I find contact info for this gentleman?
Very nice workmanship!
I just sent him an email this evening inquiring about a quiver (length, color, etc.)
After all the positive responses I've found, I think he'll be getting my money, too!
As soon as it comes I will post pics, now that I finally know how.
Mike made a pocket quiver for the St. Jude Auction a few years back. I was able to be high bidder. The one he made was a bit short for me, and he told me up front that if I needed a longer one... he would make it happen.
Long story kept short, Mike did "make it happen". I've used the longer pocket quiver - with not one problem - now for at least 2 (maybe it's 3 years). I have been very, very happy with his work. I would buy another, and I would recommend his products for anyone.
Regards!
David
Well, they are finally here! And they look great. 4" back quiver and matching hunter armguard. Mike also threw in a matching tab and limb tip protector! (http://i1099.photobucket.com/albums/g383/amzlongbow/June9th003.jpg)
Now if I could just find some time to use them...new house/projects, kids, work, etc. Might have to make some time this weekend.
Dang, that's as sweet a setup as I've seen! Mike is the man when it comes to great archery accessories. Congratulations. :clapper:
Mike's arm guards are the best i have ever used.

Nice! Can't wait to get mine. I put in my order about a month ago. It's like Christmas in the summer.

That's a fine set of gear right there! I've got one of his armguards and love it. Congrats!
