I have been reading alot about these bows from past threads and on their website.This has probaly been asked before,are these bows fast?On their website it says you can go down in weight and still have the same performance.I am not looking to go down in weight just looking to get the best performance I can out of a bow.I have shoulder problems and when I shoot more then 50 lbs I start having problems.I am going out elk hunting again this year.I understand perfect arrow flight,2 blade heads ,heavy arrows all helps in penetration.Just wandering if you have one of these bows and what you think of it.Thanks John
I have a 58 inch 45@28,performance is similar to my 50-52lb bows.
They are fast. But... there is not much difference in speed between any of the top R&D longbows. I have a 62", 55 lbs 3 piece takedown and it is my goto bow. It combines speed, stability, and shootability.
I went from high end 58# recurves to a 50# ACS CX same arrow speed-in fact the same arrows, this was over 4 years ago and I am still shooting 3 pc and 1 pc ACS CX bows. My son shoots them too. Great bows and a super company.
An acs will be right up your alley. If it fits you you will love it.
If fast is what you are looking for, then yes, they are in the upper end of the speed spectrum.

i got an ACS CX last saturday and i am a "convert" to the hybrids for life. mine is 41# at my 25" draw and it is just smoking Easton ST Epic 600's with 145 grain heads.
this is the most accurate shooting bow i have owned and i cannot wait to draw on a gobbler some time in the remaining days of our spring season.

I like mine. It shoots heavy arrows fast. It is also very forgiving. It took me a while to get used to it but now it is my favorite. Gary
I have an 58" asc and 54"black widow pch. I like them both, the pch is just as fast as the acs. Both are very forgiving and quite.
Yep it is quick. A very good performer. Also shoots very well once I found the correct riser grip. You have three grip styles to choose from and some discount the bow after trying only the standard grip. Take a drive north and visit A&H in Michigan to try them out. Talk to them about recommended bow length.
I have a one piece longbow....very nice shooter for sure. Did not chrono it....don't feel a need to. Quiet bow as well, course I use Hush Puppies, no hand shock to speak off....and shoot where I look.
I also have a PCH...but that's a 3 piece recurve. Never chronoed it either. Don't think it makes a hill of beans if one is 3 fps faster.
I have a 64" one-piece 45#@28 ACS that draws smoothly to 31 1/2". It shoots the same as my Silvertip recurve that is 60# at 31 1/2"and it is easier on the shoulder.
