Hey all.
Just finished my first dozen arrows.
From unfinished shafts, full length feathers, and a chopper.
I'm pretty happy with them.
Yes, there are a couple in there that are a little shorter. They were a little lower spine and needed to be shortened.
I couldn't have done it without info I've picked up here.
Thank you!

During the making I thought " What a pain this is!"
Now, after getting them all tuned and ready there's a certain pride I'll be able to take to the woods.
It's worth it.

lol..Just received some shafts for my Wife's Mother's day present.
Mine were a practice run.
She wants purple shaft/feathers/nock.
Our kids' school color is purple. Otherwise I don't think she'd ever want that.
So I gotta spend some nights in the work room real quick-like....nuts..lol
Thanks for the compliments everyone.
The info here made it happen.
Very nice, I like'em!
very nice
did you barr them yourself
kevin
Yes I did.
I used a mix of black aniline dye mixed with methanol with a little black beechem layout fluid added in to thicken it up a tad.
Those surely don't look like anyones first arrows. Well Done! I like em'.

Not that the arrows are all that great or anything but it is a small testament of what can be learned here at tradgang not to mention the confidence that is inspired by the ole..if he can do it I can do it mentality.
This really is a great site.
Come to think of it..I need to send my contribution...lol
Thanks again tradgang and members.
