Was down at the Tenn. Classic, as usual fantastic get together. I got to see Skyler W., Tippit, Whip, Pappy,Larry Surtees, Jeff Roark, Secumsah,Eric 101, and several more. First time for me to set up as a vendor, got to see lots more folks, did all right selling knives, making strings. Did several string repairs for the scouts, just got to see so many people I talk to on here, and hundreds of others I dont. I taught 2 guys how to make strings, same as Gary Davis taught me a few years ago. One of the highlights was watching a gentleman make a selfbow from a a dried hickory sapling, with a knife and hatchet, in roughly 1/2 an hour, and the tiller was great, Gary Davis went on and on about it. Shot about #50, and really flung a shaft. Both limbs had a lot of twist, different ways, and didnt affect the performance a bit. I didnt shoot that great, back was giving me fits, but had a ball, definitley plan on being a vendor next year, thanks for all you customers. Well just wanted to share, and thanks Pappy for the great job you and your crew do. Sam.

Sounds like you had a great time. That had to be Hatchet Dan from Ga making the selfbow. He comes to Tx for a shoot every May and it is amazing what he can do with that hatchet.
