I normally shoot 28" 11/32 cedar arrows with 125 gr. field points.
I bought some skinny Cabela Stalker Extreme carbon arrows cut to 29" with 100 and 125 grain points. No problem with accuracy and I can't seem to detect any flight issues i.e. porpoising etc. However every time I shoot one, it sounds like someone is smacking two sticks together. Any thoughts?
Yep they are too stiff at that length and point weight and are smacking the riser with the tail.

OK thanks. I'll see if I can get some heavier points to try to alleviate the problem.
Guys I changed my string from the 8125 that I was using during the testing, back to a Dyna 97 which was the original string with the bow. The smacking sound went away. Does that make any sense?
those are good arrows for the price, try some brass iserts (100) grn. and 175 grn points. they work for my 50-55lbs bows , oh! what size are they? mine are 55-70. hope this helps a little.

Yup mine are the 55/70. Really nice arrows and fly great, I'm quite happy with them. It's too late for the brass inserts I guess because they are already cut and glued with the aluminum inserts. However, I'll try some nice big points with the 8125 string. Thank you.
You shouldn't be in a hurry to cut carbons.
Mike has it right if it is the bow listed at the bottom of your post. Need to add quite a bit of weight up front. Shawn
