Took the girls out yesterday to hunt some thunderchickens. We had a ton of action, I got to fling 3 arrows in the morning and 1 in the evening and we came home with a feather. I think if we boil it long enough, it will be edible?
I got a short video of two jakes giving a longbeard and 'ol school whipping. It was with my hand tucked out the closed window of the blind, so it's not very good, but was fun to see.

I need to do a better job of picking feather and not shooting at a whole bird. I might actually tag one. All my arrows were close, but just took off feathers. Dad and I leave this weekend for 3 days of chasing them. Hopefully my next post will come with trophy photos...
at least you got a feather, all i got was a messed up broadhead.
That's all I got last year were feathers. :( Fun though!
What a day with your sweet heart to build memories. This is a success anyway.
Good luck to you sir with your Dad! Great pictures of you and your hunting buddies!
Keep after them, it's a matter of persistence.
Very Cool. :archer2:
good luck on your next trip. Looking forward to seeing your pictures.
any time spent with your kids outside is time well spent
