Shot this tom at 7 yards from a DB blind. The Woodsman head cut off the near wing and the primaries fell on the ground. Kind of wierd.
The weather has been terrible and was glad to get the job done. This is the tenth mature MI tom I've been lucky enough to shoot the last 10 years straight.
Congrats on the turkey
Great job and very nice picture.
Beautiful, Can't wait for the late season to start.
Nicely done Denny, just wondering what kind of set up you used as far as decoys (jake? hen? ) Ive had alot of mixed reactions from my set ups. Not to mention a miss on a jake and the weather has been awful! So needless to say I'm stil in the hunt...DB
Great shooting Denny!!!
Very nice Denny..Congratulations...Mike :notworthy:
Beautiful Pic and Congratulations!!!!!!
DB, every time I tried dekes the big toms hung up at 50 yards so I don't use them in MI. I set up off the roosting area 100 to 200 yards on a travel corridor with some thick cover near by. Just call and sometimes call out the back side of the blind. Seems like they come in looking for a hen in the thick cover.
Nice tom, great pic!
Nice bird Denny and under real tuff weather. I have fingers crossed that this will change by our opener a week from today.TM
Nice bird.
Way to go Denny... PL and a turkey....
10 for 10! Impressive! Congrats! I can't wait for May 2nd. After dealing with terrible weather in the early season the last two years this year I decided to go for the late season. This will be my first year to turkey hunt with my new BW PSA II.
Congrats Denny!
Success like that can only come when it is escorted by dedication! :notworthy:
Congratulations on the turkey...and nice pic as well.
Great job & beautiful picture sir!
10 toms in 10 yrs?! Hmmmmm... either you get them tied up for you or I'm doing something wrong! :coffee:
I like your idea of no dekes. I live in the land of small parcels and tight cover. Been hard at it for going on three weeks and this last one will be without the plastic.
Congrats on the bird. I'm trying to make it three for three, but without a blind. A whole lot of things have to go right and all at the same time...........
Congrats buddy! Good shootin' :notworthy:
That is great...thanks for tak'in the time to share.
congrats sir, did ya get it on video?
Nice work! We head up to St Johns tomorrow!
Congrats Denny. Those primaries falling from your shot are destined for fletching on your next batch of arrows for the fall hunt if there is enough left of them. Good talking to you at Kzoo.
Congratulations, that's a great streak you have going!

RedShaft, I still have flare ups, but not the full blown stuff anymore. Videoing the MBB series and instruction from Rod put the bad stuff behind me for good I hope. Thee latest and last MBB 4 has some awesome instruction from Rod, Jay and Joel that really helped me.

Very nice bird Denny! I'm sure we've had the same kind of crappy weather here in Wis. as you've had there. My permit is good for May 4 to May 8. Hopefully the weather will be better than.
