I always see threads about the pretty bows, new bows, just got in the mail bows, exotic bows......
Heck with it, lets respect the Warhorse bow, the mojo bow, the bow that has the scars to show how much you love her.....
So if you have one, tell us about her.
I'll start,
Great Northern Critter Gitter, 62" 68@28 all Osage. Traded a friend for a bow and he added this one in the trade. The Osage has aged to a sweet mellow caramel color, the suede grip is worn down, couple of nicks and shallow scratch or two. With Ipe footed Surewood shafts, she delivers some nasty medicine. About as pure a bow as I have ever had. She'll always have a space on the rack, let alone be by my side on my next hunting trip. It's what she was made to do.

As Mudd would say, PICHERS PLEASE...♠
I have a beat up Quinn, brown metal riser, Limsation snakeskin stickers. I bought the riser used for $50, a set of limbs for $100, and made the string, a D-97. Riser has paint skinned offhere and ther, limbsations are getting ragged, but I can shoot the lights out with this, and it is just plain lucky, dont want to go hunting without it. I have made some tight shots, and a few long ones, but deer and turkeys die when I hunt with it, it is my go to bow!! And I have nearly the same exact bow x2, and cant seem to shoot them as well as this one, might be all in my head, but it works.
I have an old Howatt X-200 with a couple of small dings n scratches.Who ever owned it before me took good care of it or didn't shoot it much. It's in pretty good shape for a 30+ year old bow.But it's my only trad bow so it serves double duty as my show bow and my beater bow
I have a Leon Stewart 3 pc T/D Recurve 62" 55#@28"
It is a straight shooting, Tac Driver.

I only have 3 bows, and I've only dabbled in this "trad" witchery for same number of years.
Since I finally got it to quite down I'm falling in love my Pittsley Predator. It's a 1992 make with green and brown riser. Nicked, scuffed, and dinged riser with limbs completely covered in the "good" cracks. It's seen better days, and had a little limb twist when I got her (may have been may fault) but she's lined out now I'm looking forward to many years. I need pics now, don't I?
OK I'll play Bighorn Grandslam T/d reuurve 70@28 I pull her 29.5 Been around the block a time or two.Me buddy named this bow the "Freight Train" The pics actually make her look good after all the abuse she's been through. She's got several deep gouges in the riser, and the limbs were so mared I skinned her.She is doing here best to shed those skins I don't think she liked them.

Nice One Jeff, that's the spirit.
Yea longstick the first big gouge she got after we both tumbled of a mtn in NM.I had another backup made after that.Funny thing is that bow blew up after a couple thousand shots.Freight Train has since been drown, slid and tumbled of of a few more cliffs and almost burned by a celabrating compounder who at the time was feeling no pain.
That bows got MOJO I pick her up and she'll put a 800 grain arrow rite were I'm looking.
Not the bow I shoot currently, but we sure got some memories together.
"84" Colorado Bighorn 60" 66# @ 28" she's been retired to the rack for a number of years a little too much for the shoulders on a cold morning.

My Widow is my warbow. I'm not afraid of scratching, denting, or scraping her. She's been with me for a decade now w/ out ever complaing about the weather or how I abuse her...She's always thre for me..never leaving me stranded. She forgives me when I look at or hold another...She's beautiful to me.
