Im going to do it like a man tommorow. Its Thunderchicken season here in NC. I filled my first tag like a baby, yes i will admit it i fell to my itch to kill and used my mossberg.
But i have seen the light! I watched 12 jakes and 1 tom go to where there going to roost after they came spinting into my decoy set at 10 yrds just now and ive decided its time to swarp my first bird with a stick. I just couldnt pull the trigger, i had my longbow on my mind.
My weapon of choice will be my Samick Verna longbow 64" 60@28" shooting Easton Maxums following the lead of 125gr Magnus broadhead.
Ive shot till fingers are bleeding and i am very confident of my chances out to 15 yrds all thanks to the form clock (it made a huge difference, thanks Terry Green!)
So itll be up at 430 with a grin of determination. Hopefully i can represent the gang well. :bigsmyl:
I will give an update in the morning. Good luck to all you fellers hunting and God bless you all,
