Title: Flu Flu fletching
Post by: Converml on April 22, 2011, 08:56:00 AM
There was a post on flu flus and some using full length spirals etc. I was just wondering how fletching an arrow with an uncut turkey tail feather would work for Flu Flues? Has anyone ever done it? Spiral or regular fletch? Merle

Any large feather of a bird works. it's just the life of the feathers that makes a difference. Tail feathers work but probably won't last as long. Fletch them up and when they wear out. Refletch with new ones.

I use 4-4in with aggressive helical that I cut out of full length feathers on my carbons and they work great.  They are a little faster then normal flu flu's but still will only go about 100yds before falling down.
