Title: Bear Hunter TD
Post by: T Folts on April 22, 2011, 08:47:00 AM
MY buddy brought over a Bear Hunter TD and we made a string for it, it was given to him. It is made with green action wood without any markings on the rise. The medalion is raised and looks to be bronze or something. I took off the limbs and they each had a 63 on them. The bow is 60" and 55#. The riser is 21". What can you tell me about this bow. Below is a pic of a bow just like it.

Thanks

I had one just like it for a bit. They are decent bows for the money. Mine was quiet and shot fair. I think I traded it for a longbow?

I had 2 of those and they shoot pretty good, but the centershot was not cut deep enough for me so I modified the shelf and side plate a little bit and it shot much better.

These are my personal favorite. If your limbs say 63 on them then they are 63# limbs.

They are a great bow..

I think they sold new from the mid to late 80's to the mid 90's.  I bought one in '92 or '93.  I sold it last year because I couldn't find lighter limbs for it.  I actually didn't really look that hard either. Mine was a smooth shooter and very quiet.
