Title: Relation between Adcock and ACS
Post by: bigcountry on April 21, 2011, 03:00:00 PM
Could someone explain this?

Does OL Adcock make ACS CX bows or just promote them?  Whats the connection between him and A&H bows?

Thanks

O.L. and John Havard started out working together and patented the ACS limb design.  They parted ways some years back with John owning the patent and starting A&H Archery.  O.L. was permitted to manufacture and sell a limited number of bows on his own under his name.  O.L. has no connection to A&H Archery other than he helped design the ACS limb.

Ok, so if your buying a ACS takedown, I imagine one will cost differently than the other?

ACS stands for "Adcock Cross Section", I think.

Here is John Havards' answer from a previous post a couple of years ago.

Ok, that makes sense.   Thanks for the replies.

I was one of those guys on O.L.'s list that elected to have the new A&H company build my bow.. It was an excellent decision.. I have enjoyed a wonderful relationship with the guys at A&H and their bows are absolutely top shelf. Since I got my first one that is all I have hunted with. I generally hunt over 100 days a year.. I've put in a lot of quality time with these bows..
