For hunting practice and just a lot of fun, I'd like to set up some "moving 3D targets" around my house in upstate NY. Looking for ideas and/or pictures of what is out there. Thanks...

You could screw on some blunts and tell PETA you want to host a meeting.
Funny.... I have an idea for one but i havent got to build it yet..
I've seen a "charging boar" made out of foam, black tape, a couple pulleys, rope, and a huge bungee cord. Not realistic hunting practice maybe but man was it fun!
If you'd like to see it in action you should come to my club's rendezvous in June. See Trad Events for info. We also have a running deer target.

At the Chamberlain Traditional Rendezvous they had a boar on a zip line but the most entertaining was a remote controlled buggy with a coyote (chasing a chicken). The buggy was tethered so it would go in a circle, but I'd imagine it would be a lot of fun without that tether! Btw don't shoot the chicken; -10 pts
I have mentioned this before, but my favorite moving target is a youth black basketball. We have a lot room at my place so my son will kick the ball and I take a shot or vice versa. With field points the basket ball will last a long time. When it quits rolling I stuff it with plastic and start all over. You can also kick it yourself but its more fun to get the kids involved.

The Faribalt Club in Minnesota brought some moving 3-D targets to the indoor 3-D shoot we hosted for about 220 NASP kids at the Pope & YOung Convention on April 8th. They had two deer that were on rails and powered with electric garage door openers. One of them had rails with "hills" which caused the deer to move up and down. You should have seen the smiles on the kids!
Thanks Everyone!
