Aloha everyone just want to share my story of my hunt today.Overcast day around 3pm got to my secret location on the big Island at a friends property.Parked and strung my HH Wesley Speacial and grabbed my quiver with 5 669 grn arrows tipped with a Grizz 190grn broadheads and started down the road. The property is full of Avacado,Macadamia nuts,Bananas, shrubery, and guavas.walked property and found a good spot for my first set up under a Mac Nut tree. After an hour now 4pm no luck.Decided to change location, folded up my chair bow and quiver and walked to a huge avacado tree with branches touching the ground and decided to set up here. After a 30 min heard squealing in the trees about 50 yds away.got up and walked to the edge of the tree still hiding me in the canopy above me.Standing for 10 min or so looked to my right and there he came walking toward me @15 yards,12,10,my heart started to beat with anticipation 8yrds I focused where I wanted my arrow to connect 7yards I came to full draw and turned 1/4 away from me giving me a perfect shot I released the arrow with a razor sharp Grizzly leading the way.It happened so quickly the arrow penetrated on the mark I was focused on the arrow disappeared into the shoulder as the blood began to flow the hog was gone.I stood in excitement and wonder as I collected myself.Knocked a second arrow and began to track the beast which wasn't hard the blood trail was from a foot to 2 foot wide at times.Thru the Waiwi forest there he lie 40yards from where I shot him.Expired as my hunt came to a successful end.Giving thanks to Our Lord and Savior Blessing me with biggest Hog for me,Traditional is the only way close up and personal.Ended up weighing 110#.You bet Ill be there next week,After dressing the pig the arrow entered shoulder at the top of the heart shaving a 3 inch piece off and taking out the lungs exiting thru the 4th Rib.Aloha To all TRad Gang Members.May your aim be straight and true....
