Title: cliff coe bow
Post by: tradgreenhorn on April 19, 2011, 09:38:00 PM
looking for a cliff coe bow, hoping you guys can help me. A good friend of mine had one as a kid , went into the marines back in the 70's and when he got out his bow was gone. I am trying to find one for him in left hand around 50 pounds or less. Any leads would be great. Thanks

Good luck with your search, hope you find one that's in good enough condition to still shoot.
My buddy recently had one given to him, but it's definitely just a wall hanger.

I have one that is 58#.  I haven't shot it since I am not a lefty.  Looks like 64" but I haven't measured it.

Wow! I haven't heard that name in ages.

I remember reading an interview of Mr Coe years ago. I want to say it was in "Primitive Archer" but I can't swear to it.

He was someone that I looked up to after reading about him.

If I could have made a selfbow that looked anything like what he was holding in his hands I could have easily allowed myself to be called a master bowyer. NOT!...lol

Good luck in your search.

If anyone has pictures of his bows please post them here as I'm sure I wouldn't be alone in wanting to see them.

Thank you in advance!

God bless,Mudd

A possible lead would be Lonnie Collins of Recycled Recurves.  He lives in Irons, MI and he stands a good chance of having one.
