Title: Show Me Your Black Mountain Sheepeater
Post by: mikebiz on April 17, 2011, 08:24:00 AM
Well I have heard wonderful things about the Sheepeater so it'a a bow I'm considering for my next purchase.  Won't be a little while though since my new BamaBow is in the mail as we speak.  Anyway I contacted Brent at Black Mountain Bows to chat a bit about the bow and some other things.  If you want to buy from someone who is incredibly passionate about his design and its inspiration, Brent is your man.  He has acquired an intimate knowledge of the Sheepeater tribe living in the Yellowstone area for years.  It's obvious when you talk with him (or email).

FYI, Nate from BamaBows is a heck of a guy to deal with as well.  Top notch.

So for those of you who have shot the Sheepeater tell me your thoughts.  Show me some pics.  I'm interested in the low wrist option, but want to see any variation if you have the photos.  This will be a treestand/blind bow for deer and turkeys.

Mike.
If you go to the Geauga bow shoot thread you can see a pic of mine. 50" high wrist  52# @ 28". Around 55# @ 29".
Great shooting little bow. I love it! It's the Miss Faith 09 in one of the links above. No stack or finger pinch at my draw length. Gotta love a static tip.

Thanks buckeye and magnus.  It sure looks like a sweet little bow.  I would love to handle one at some point before pulling the trigger (or releasing the string I suppose).  I have some woods in mind that I think would work out really well.  Maybe I'll get one and hit the turkey woods next spring with it.
