I've been wanting to try and make my own quiver for a while but I do not know how to sew, so I found some very thrifty fabric to practice on.
Total cost of the quiver was about $5.00
Hope this gives you guys a laugh!
Gonna have to rename you the tarten warrior. :biglaugh:Seriously nice job.
I'm not laughing! I am jealous, that is a cool looking quiver, nice work. I have a little bit of wool and I might have to try and copy your idea.
That is too nice to be called a yooper quiver! I expected maybe a road kill skin wrapped around a traffic cone, or the sleeve of a shirt tied at one end and a dragging rope used for a back sling.
Looks like you know how to sew now, mate! Good job, good design.
Ya got enough left you could maybe make a matching kilt. That turned out nice Sean! Good job.
Sean, Nice job that really looks good.
Nothing wrong with that! For very little money you now have a very useable quiver.

Nice and cheap. The trad way.
I'm not laughing. I've got a possibles/game bag that matches it. ;-)

Very cool quiver!Matches my old Pendleton woolies...
Looks like Norm Abram's day at Trad Gang.... J/k.....now you got a great quiver you made yourself.....cool deal.
I kinda like it !
is it warm up there yet ?
I want to come up and spend a weekend at my place up there but the last visit required three hours of plowing to get my boat out of the shed.

Very nice! And gives me a great idea. I've got a Christian Dior wool overcoat that hasn't been worn in over 15 yrs. I think with some simple mods it would make a great, quiet quiver. Seems like it would work to turn a sleeve into the main quiver body.
Thanks for the inspiration!!!
The power of the kilt is strong..
Let me guess...ya put a pasty in the bottom to stick yer arrows into so they don't rattle around :notworthy:
Nice!
Datsa nice lookin quiva dontcha know! Good job
SWEET!!
OH yaa,dat is a gud looking quiver eh? (now if you could just let me know the location of da store that has da cheap material)
Cool Sean,That is very nice.

And thats exactly why I vote to remove the bridge every year!.................nice quiver. I doubt the critters care what it looks like, its what is inside that counts right?
Looks like a quiver that Red Green would be proud to own! Nice job!
Thank you everyone.
Chuck,
The material was at hobby lobby in flint and was $4.00 a yard.
I bought two yards figuring I could try a few different projects. I just wish I would have measured this so could repeat the process...
Say ya to da UP eh!
That's a really cool quiver, nice work.

Kudos for home made quivers And bow racks!! Hey Sean...just wondering what you were contemplating on your last two posts??
Lol Robin. No it was me pushing the wrong button...twice!
Well, i'm going to go try this one.
Nice quiver.
About the pasty suggestion: I don't know about putting a pasty in the bottom... might bring in bears. Of course, if you will be bear hunting.....
LOOKS LIKE AN IRISH QUIVER ?
Nice job!
I often suggest people make a quiver out of an old pair of jeans or something similar when wanting to try out a new style (before the order a really nice one out a leather).
I'm aware of several surviving 'period' Native American quivers in museums and private collections that are made out of trade cloth or heavy wool, so you're in good company when carrying yours! :)
Did you copy right that, or can any one steal your idea.
nope it's not copy written so it's free for anyone lol
The UP sucks....
Only cause it's too far away.
I love it up there.
Spend a little time round big bay area when I can.
Not trying to be a downer but....
Just be careful if putting b-heads in there.
A slip or fall and you could find yourself pretty messed up.
Good Job!!!
nice Quiver!!!
Very distinctive. :archer2:
