Title: NO-MAR (Hunters Specialties) Camo'ed limbs and riser
Post by: Shawn Leonard on April 13, 2011, 05:46:00 PM
Bow tape, great stuff for camo'ing limbs and other huntin stuff. I found it for $5 a roll 2" by 10ft. I have done 2 sets of limbs for $5. Doing a riser now, easy on easy off and very simple to do with a sharp razor blade and a small squiggee to smooth as ya put it on! Thought other folks may want to give it a try! Shawn

A lot of sporting good stores, I found it at both Dicks and Wal-Marts. I am really liking it and just sent my wife to get 2 more rolls,it is cheaper at Wally world. I got it in Realtree AP HD and in Mossy Oak Break Up. Shawn

I would be interested to know if the tape slows down the limbs any. Do you have access to a chronograph? Thanks.

Camo tape does not slow down the bow. You won't even know you have it on the bow.

No effect at all, I chrono'ed a set last week with and without tape and I got 195-196fps. at 8gpp. drawn to 29"s. It weighs hardly anything and is waterproof. Shawn

I have had it on recurves for years, but on mine, after a while, where the limb curves, the stress causes it to turn white. It has done this on 2 bows, not on 2 others.

Have used this stuff before. Mine was the cloth tape. Works well, but leaves a lot of glue residue when removed.
