Recently traded for a couple of Great Northern Critter Gitters, my favourite longbow. One of them was an older Osage 62" 68@28. Lovely mellow Osage, plenty of Mojo on this bow. Thought about changing the grip but I don't want to mess with the Mojo.
Anyway took her out today and teamed her up with some Ipe footed Surewood shafts. Anyway this combination was a pure delight, quiet and you could tell the Critter Gitter was delivering that arrow with some solid Oomph.
I shot an old browning for a long time. now i shoot a bow that was actually made after I was born! Im with you when it comes to wood arrows, cant beat em!
They are awesome.... I can always pick mine up and hit were i look.. and it is super quiet..Gotta love em..
There is definatly somthing about longbows and wood arrows.Kinda like pizza and beer they just go together.
Is it an unforgivable sin to shoot anything but wood from a longbow?

No, but they do seem to go together like peanut butter and jelly...
