I have a bunch of two blade Magnus broadheads in my box. They fly like darts out of my Kanati and as you know they will get razor sharp. Anyone killed any birds with a two blade head or is that a no-no?

I use two blades heads for elk, turkey and everything in between.
The two I have killed were with a STOS and a Grizzlie. If they fly well and go where your are looking they will kill.
They will do a good job,use them and enjoy.
Killed one with a 125grn griz at 15yds.
Shot one with a STOS 160 that dropped on the spot. Looking to try that again in a couple weeks.
I guess they work ok I just took a mature tom this morning using a Zephyr Tempest as a 2 blade(no bleeder blade). 15 yard shot 50lb lb bow Tom was down in 10 yards about the same result as last year on two toms.Its where you put the arrow thats most important on turkey then a sharp broadhead of whatever type you perfer.
This is going to sound like a B.S. story. Some time ago I was entering my huntering area shortly afer dawn in my rear view mirror I spotted an enormous gobbler soaking up the sun. I rolled over the next hill, and parked my truck.Sneaking back, I found him still standing there. I launched an arra that fell way short, and bounced up, and pierced his breast, but not deeply. He imediately flew up into the upper branches of a juniper tree. I walked up under the tree and proceeded to shoot straight up thinking that Thanksgiving was a given. I emptied my bow quiver through the center of that bird, and on the last shot he decided that he had had enough. He soared like an
eagle over the next ridge, into a huge canyon never to be seen again. Now I will be the first to admit that none of my shots were perfect. One of those arrow shold have gotten his spine or sumpin. I've read other threads like this wher people say tht turkeys are easy. Crap I vowed from that day forward not to shoot at turkies without some kind of stopper behind a two blade. You gotta send som kinda shock and tear a hole in those guys. My opinion.

I think I have killed 6 with 2 blade Magnus.Yep, a 2 blade will get it done.

I have taken one turkey with a 2 bladed Magnus head.It walked about 15 feet and just fell over.The arrow went completely through it.

I killed a bird 2 years ago with a 2 blade Scirocco. Pass thru but not complete(head was sticking out the other side) The bird died in sight. Place them right and you are eating turkey dinner.
Magnus Mag I in 160 grain worked just fine. Pass through with one broken leg and he was done flopping by the time I got to him.
Magnus Stingers have worked for me, but this year I'm going with the Big Game heads that Jim N sells. After seeing what they did on a couple of deer last fall, I believe they will be able to handle Tom as long as I don't screw up. Peace!

TJ, Will and I both killed ours with the Simmons 2" tree shark. We anchored our birds with this head. I believe that I have some pics of the entrance hole on my bird. Check out the thread Tom and Will's first Turkey Kills. I posted it last week. Hope this helps. I had mine front loaded at 200gr. Will's was 300gr. Tom
Thanks guys, just wondering if anyone out there was successful with them. My new bow shoots them much more consistent than any other heads I have. I am sure it is a weight thing but don't have any three or four blades in this weight.
My setup is a 100 grain brass insert with these 145 grain Magnus'. I will sharpen them up and hopefully will get an opportunity to see how they perform.

Magnus I severed the base of the neck on a 23# tom last spring here in Wisconsin and the bird never moved after the shot. The shot was deceiving and lucky though, as it looked like I hit the front of the vitals...feathers mask the body for sure, take your time and picture a bird w/o feathers. Going out Wednesday, hopefully to repeat last year! Will be shooting Magnus I's again.
