I can't decide which arrow I am going to hunt deer with this year. The problem is that both arrows are tuned to my bow. They are FMJ 400 28.5" with 200 up front 505gr, and 30" 2020 legacys also with 200 up front at 651 grains. Both hit where i am looking. Any opinions. 55# Sovereign Sonoran. Opinions?
Search on bow tuning methods. Some might disagree, but in my opinion either the bare shaft or paper tuning method will get you there. Getting the arrow to hit where you are looking is only 1/2 of the answer. You also need the arrow to stabilize as quickly as possibe to obtain maximum penetration and as nearly identical performance between practive field points and broadheads as possible.
I would use the legacys at the heavier weight, will give you great penetration.
I think he said they are already tuned. If you are hunting only whitetail deer at home, either will work really well. You just decide which trajectory and speed you like better. If I were hunting big, tough stuff,I would go with the heavier arrow. You can't go wrong with either.
They both fly perfect for me and I don't notice much difference in trajectory out to 20 yards. I practice out to 25 usually but the last 2 bucks were killed at 8,and 12 yards. I think the 2020s will go in the quiver this year. Thanks for your thoughts.
For me the final test is shooting with broadheads. If they both shoot well I would have a hard time not shooting the 2020's. They are the toughest aluminums out there and they are at least half the price of the FMJ's/
Doesn't matter. Both are fine.

screw some broadheads on both and see if they both continue to shoot the same. if not u have ur answer, but if they do I would go with the FMJ. just a fan of them that is the only reason.
