I need some ideas for hanging my two bows up. The area I have is above the window so we`re looking at about a 2' area. I really like the wooden ones but that not an option with the limited space I have. Maybe some kind of brass wall hangers but i`m not sure. What have some of you folks done with limited space ?
Burch
I use the rubber coated hooks with lag on end. The type used in garage they can be bought fairly long so that several bows can lay flat on them. I find a stud and put them in. I have 2 sets in my archery room with 3 bows on each set.
I like the two deer feet. It does require a sacrafice from a "deer" friend of yours but it works nicely.

wooden gun rack works really well.
I do like the wooden ones but as stated ealier I don`t have the space for one.
Go to your hardware store and buy 4 fancy or plain brackets (the ones that look like and L). You can mount them off set. I would put some kind of felt on the brackets so they don't scratch your bows.
spike antlers
Boss lady says mine look their best when on display in the back bedroom.
Just get a couple longish pieces of driftwood or something else that pleases your eye. Cut them to whatever space you have and flatten one side so it will sit flush on the wall. Screw them to the studs vertically. Then strike 2 level lines across the space and mark each piece on the line. Drill 3/8" holes at an angle and pound some 6" dowels into the holes. Voila. Instant bow rack. I recently did this with a couple of limbs from a failed selfbow. It looks real cool and hold 18 bows.
Would you guys mind posting some pictures of what you have done? I would be a lot of help to me..

:)
Also it's pretty easy to get some wood dowels from your local store and a small strip of red cedar, sand em down, drill the same diameter hole as the dowel, tap it in with a rubber mallet and attach directly to the wall. You don't even have to paint or stain it if you don't want to :)
Here's one me and my daughter made - simple but effective, won't break the bank and the thing that took the longest was waiting for the stain to dry ;)

Take a couple of decorative blocks at least as deep as the bow limb is wide and screw them through the dry wall to the window framing on each side. Make sure the top of the block has a little lip on it in the front to keep the bows from slipping off. Space them vertically to hold both bows and there you have simple and nice.
That`s a nice lookin` rack
This is above my window. Took me only a few minutes to make. I have about 12 inches above my windows.

That pic is basically what I did except I used bow limbs for the vertical pieces. You could actually just drill holes right into the studs and pound dowels into the holes.
Here is my bow rack i made from cedar branches

Even a horizontal coat rack would work.

$55 for four deer feet seems a bit over my budget. I better either try and find some brass L brackets or make `em outta wood.
Yeah man, the wood's not expensive and the brackets even less so, not to mention quicker ;)
Here is one I made a couple of years back.
