I have two light weight recurves , 42# and 37#. I also have a 30" draw length and shoot 32" BOP 2212 aluminum arrows for each bow which weigh 446 and 431 grains. The 42# bow tunes best with a 100 grain point weight arrow and the 37# bow tunes best with an 85 grain point weight arrow.
Since Magnus is discontinuing the 2 blade Stinger 150 broadhead, will Magnus will be discontinuing the 2 blade Stinger 100 and 85 grain broadheads?
I need to know because if the 2 blade Stinger 100 and 85 grain broadheads are being discontinued as well, then I need to retune both of my recurves to shoot higher point weights by adjusting each bow's brace height.
Since my recurves are low poundage bows, it's not wise to shoot a 4 blade Stinger. Penetration is best with 2 blade broadheads.
This might sound like an obvious answer, but if it were me, I would contact Magnus and ask them. This way you get the correct answer.
I found when contacting manufactures, when it comes to "discontinuing items, they have a tendecy to get tight lipped. In other words, they come down with a case of "Lock Jaw".

True that. In fact Magnus was irate with me for telling my customers the 150's were gone. :knothead:
Joe, I've not discussed those heads with Magnus since we don't carry them, but the 100's are still listed as available for 2011, whereas the 150's and 85's are not. I'd expect the 100 and 125 two blades to be available for a long time to come though, as those are the two most common weights utilized by modern equipment shooters.
Hope this helps, Tim
