I got my new & Lakes "Hill" style longbow today.
I brought it into the house, strung it up and this is my 1st 3 arrows out of it at about 9 yards (maybe 10).

I was doing an online chat with Tony Van Dort(in China) we started talking about back quivers and how ell they worked.
I wanted to demonstrate for Tony just how well they could work.
I set a timer for 1 minute and began shooting from the quiver but stopped at 10 arrows(still under my minute) I stopped because the arrows were so tightly packed and with that 10th shot I ruined one of my favorite "Snag built" arrows.
I didn't take any pictures of that, just wanted to put it out of my mind as quickly as possible.
I did pull all 10 arrows at one time with one hand.
The sun started trying to shine so I took "Tall Cotton" my &Lakes outside and did some shooting there.

Good shooting.
I donated five arrows with one shot to an "arrow memorial" a friend keeps. I was visiting him in Maryland and brought my bow. He shot target only (but is an otherwise nice guy) and had a 3" thick straw matt on an easel (The good 'ol 48" rainbow w/gold center target face). His arrows did not penetrate the back - mine went through about 15". On my fifth shot I hit the rear leg of the easel, split it, and the hinge came off the tip. Down went the target. "SNAP" went my five crown dipped and crested arrows. Owwwwwwww!
Last I knew their shatterred little bodies were still upright in the mud beside the headwaters of the Choptank River. Sniff.
charlie, what were you doing on the eastern shore? Sika and/or whitetail? Do you know a friend of a friend of mine Bob Bartoshesky? He is freinds with my buddy Pete McGaffin up in northern De. He is trying to convert him to stick and string. thought I'd ask, small world and all, Joe
Nice looking bow Mudd.

Nice looking bow, my friend. Enjoy!
Brother Mudd,
Well, as to the arrow ... I will partake in a moment of silence in it's honor.
Cool video, real quiet bow man!! looks awsome!! I liked the psalm 37:4 written on her ...
"Take delight in the LORD,and he will give you the desires of your heart."
Nice.
Bob.
Nice shooing Mudd, Beautiful Bow.
Seems like it'll work just fine for ya! Nice shooting.
I got to see the first group last night. Seems like our buddy Mudd has The golden touch...recently every bow he picks up packs arrows into a tight spot!
Roy, I think your practice on form is starting to gel.
Down right deadly dude!
Nice bow and good shooting.
First things first Mudd...nice bow and great shooting, RIP to your woody
on your arrow stoppers, what are those coffee sacks filled with? And is that an old futon mattress hanging behind them?
Great bow Mudd! That thing is fast. Quiet too. Thanks for the pics and video!
Nice bow Mudd, and good shooting!
Thank you all for the kind words!
Now...TradDad, Those bags are filled with very soft sheets of styrofoam, sheets of plastic and that fabric material used on the bottom side of couches.
I go to Furniture Row's dumpsters and fill them.
Yes those are Futon mattresses!!
They work great as a part of my back stop.
God bless,Mudd
