Title: GFA Question.
Post by: Benha on April 06, 2011, 09:42:00 PM
I have a new GFA and the gripper for carbons is so tight that it is almost impossible to load the arrows. Anyone else experienced this?

I see in 3 Rivers that there are two sizes of grippers for them. Maybe you have the smaller size?
I have standard model and it holds my goldtips fine.

You can adjust it a little by loosening all those little screws and lock nuts around the gripper.

I have both grippers one is way too loose the other too tight. Hmmm.

Ditto what Wampus said. Take the loose one and tighten the screws, or take the tight one and loosen the screws holding the gripper in place. One of them will work out to fit your arrows.

Yes - there are three sizes, you did what I did and bought the small and we should have bought the middle one, the small is for the HIT arrows

I have both the small and large gripper.  For my Beman MFX (small diameter shafts) to fit the small gripper I had to trim it some on each opening.
